As creative director for Balmain, Olivier Rousteing has written the dress code for confident, unapologetic glamour. He knows what modern women want to wear, whether it's a sharp blazer or a figure-hugging minidress.

When Pierre Balmain founded his namesake house in 1945, his vision was one of femininity and opulence. His reputation for beautiful garments earned him cosmopolitan, global clientele – one that still exists today. Since Olivier Rousteing's appointment in 2011, he’s brought the house into the twenty-first century and established his own Balmain army.

Pierre Balmain, the founder of the eponymous fashion house in 1945, introduced a distinctively opulent and ultra-feminine design philosophy that was in sharp contrast to the utilitarian clothing of the era. His impeccable craftsmanship earned him an international following of European elite and Hollywood royalty, pushing the Parisian label to unprecedented levels of success.

Since Olivier Rousteing took the helm in 2011 as creative director, he has modernized the brand with establishing a dress code that exudes self-assured and unapologetic elegance.
