As creative director for Balmain, Olivier Rousteing has written the dress code for confident, unapologetic glamour. He knows what modern women want to wear, whether it's a sharp blazer or a figure-hugging minidress.
When Pierre Balmain founded his namesake house in 1945, his vision was one of femininity and opulence. His reputation for beautiful garments earned him cosmopolitan, global clientele – one that still exists today. Since Olivier Rousteing's appointment in 2011, he’s brought the house into the twenty-first century and established his own Balmain army.
<p>A culture of research, experimentation and function are the matrixes that have always defined Stone Island. A sportswear brand established in 1982, it has become a leader in research on fibres and textiles, applied to an innovative design. The study of uniforms and work wear is Stone Island’s frame of reference for clothing with more than just an aesthetic function.</p>
Established in 1982 by graphic designer Massimo Osti, Stone Island is driven by extensive research on fibers and textiles as well as innovative garment-dyeing techniques.
The collections are highly inspired by the meeting point of art and science, with every piece being built on experimentation and practicality. Under current creative director Carlo Rivetti, Stone Island continues to expand its global following through contemporary collections influenced by military uniforms and functional workwear.
